Damsel in distress

Things are really heating up at this time here in Dubai,  weather wise that is.  Every one and everything is being affected by the soaring temperatures.

On the way back to my flat from an errand, I could not avoid but notice a lot of insects by the building’s entrance all over the cool glass doors.  Among with all those insects, a fragile damselfly caught my attention.  Who can resist helping out a “damsel in distress”?  So, I took the damselfly with me to the cool comfort of my flat away from the sweltering outside heat.

The Damselfly looking a bit better and recovered from the heat, looked photogenic.  A photo opportunity then has presented itself and the rest is now history as you can see with the images here.

Photographed with Fujifilm Finepix S5Pro, tripod mounted with focusing rail, Sigma 24-50mm manual lens reversed and attached to camera via Br2a reverse ring and lighted with a Rogue flashbender modified SB-900 speedlight.
