Cheesman’s Gerbil under the Blue Moon

It was the night of the Blue moon last Friday night when we again set out into the warm, humid desert in search of the Arabian horned viper.  Although our chances of finding vipers during a full moon was slim, we decided to take our chances and proceed.  True to as expected, our desert night trek for vipers was a failure.  The trek though was not a total failure for we were blessed by an encounter with a Cheesman’s Gerbil. Ironically, we found a type of desert rodent which is normally what a viper would prey on. It was as cute as a viper would be intimidating! Life may deny us one thing but would offer us something else as good always. =)
